So my question is this. In your faq it says that were a society that teaches girls not to get raped instead of teaching men not to rape. How can you justify that statement? Every single man I know thinks rape is wrong. Every one. Only rapists think it's okay, and even then some know it's wrong they just don't care. Isn't it important to teach women to avoid rape and defend themselves? Or is that victim blaming?

A great deal of men also have no idea what rape IS. They think a man dragging a woman into an alley is the way that women get raped but it’s not true. A woman is more likely to be raped by someone she knows. So therefore someone she likely has some trust for. 

I couldn’t even count the amount of times I have heard a rapist say that he didn’t think it was rape or he didn’t think it was wrong. So saying that your guy friends all think rape is wrong is not a comfort really. 

Most of teaching women to avoid rape focuses on how to protect themselves form statistically unlikely situations or goes into outright victim blaming territory. Telling a woman she can’t drink is victim blaming. Telling a woman her clothes will get her raped is victim blaming.

We g to a lot of effort as a society to tell women not to be raped but as soon as someone suggests comprehensive consent education a man will get offended.

When you get offended all I hear is “stop making your danger my problem, I would rather peddle methods that are unlikely to help you for the sake of my own ego than take on consent education that will address the culture of rape. My feelings are more important than your safety and your life.”
